  • Overview

    Proactively address any computer and systems operations for maximum output and performance. Manage expense associated with computer operations and reduce excess cost whenever possible. Standardize all company computers and peripherals within the organization. Maintain copier and fax accounts and equipment. Maintain cellular accounts and equipment. Maintain VoIP phone system and equipment.

    Responsibilities

    1. Travel between locations and meet with management teams to assess areas of technology growth.

    2. Create new user profiles in appropriate system of the dealership. Update/delete user profiles for transfer or terminated employees.

    3. Maintain accurate user profiles in Dealership Management Systems (DMS).

    4. Maintain Hoffman Auto Group’s company-wide Email exchange Server/O365 including adds, deletes and changes.

    5. Troubleshoot and repair all types of computer-related problems (hardware and software), both on-site and via telephone.  Provide systems support for the DMS and all other peripheral systems in order to keep the systems operational. Reallocate assets as needed.

    6. Maintain an inventory of all computers and peripherals. This should include special ID’s needed for device set up such as an Apple ID.

    7. Physically move/repair computer equipment as necessary; communicate with outside vendors and system users as needed.  Answer questions related to computer systems and applications for DMS, manufacturer and computers.

    8. Work with Managed Service Company to ensure network stability and reliability.

    9. Work with Managed Service Cop to implement policies for the use of computers to ensure security is maintained.

    10. DMS specific responsibilities: maintain employee security access to include adds, deletes and changes. Maintain all forms printed from the DMS include adds, deletes and changes.
